A Winning Combination

Steven BradburySteven Bradbury became the hero of everyone who had been unlucky in their pursuit to be the best where the “luck” went his way for once. During his representation of Australia as a speed skater Steven was part of Australia’s relay team that won our first Winter Olympic medal, in 1994 he lost four litres of blood in a skating crash that required 111 stitches. Steven broke his neck during training in 2000 and if anyone should have given up their chase for a dream it could easily have been Steven.

Fortunately he didn’t and in 2002 after qualifying for the Olympic final of the 1000metres race in Salt Lake City a moment in history that will always be remembered for the pure sacrifice it takes to give yourself a chance, on the final lap the four skaters in front tumbled out of contention and Steven crossed the line in first place to claim Australia’s first Winter Olympic gold medal.

Since retiring Steven has become a prominent celebrity, public speaker & motivator to those who are willing to give it a go. His new venture involves speed of a different kind, motor racing. With a competitive nature like Steven’s he is sure to make a real go of motor racing. Planbuild Homes & QueenslandHouseAndLAnd.com are proud to have Steven’s association & support as well as us support his entry into competitive motor sport.

For the rest of 2006 and the whole of 2007 we will all be following his progress in the exciting and close competitive racing of Formula Vee. To follow his progress check out www.fvee.org.au and www.fvaq.org.au
